Child Protection Policy

 

Yellow Dog Theatre Company take the protection of children in our care very seriously:

 

·         We consider the welfare of your child/children paramount.

·         All children in our groups have the right to protection from abuse regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs...

·         We have a commitment to safe recruitment, selection and vetting. NB - All Yellow Dog associates have Full Enhanced Disclosure to be working with children.

·         Yellow Dog hold Employers, and Public liability insurance. Copies of our policy documents have been passed to all the spaces we work in for parents to view. 

·         All concerns, and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously by Yellow Dog and our staff. These may even be considered for referral to children’s services, and in emergencies, the Police. This policy applies to all Yellow Dog staff, associates, and volunteers.

·         All children and parents will be informed of our Child Protection Policy.

·         All of Yellow Dog staff, associates, and volunteers are made aware of our Child Protection Policy.

·         Yellow Dog consistently review policy, procedures, and the spaces we work in for the Health and Safety of your children.

 

Our starting point of the formation of all groups is to establish an atmosphere of kindness, understanding, equality and fun.

 

Our anti-bullying policy is very simple. We address within classes at all levels any ‘behaviours’ damaging to other children’s physical safety and esteem. All incidents of bullying will be investigated, and acted upon where proven.

 

We identify good theatre with a strong team. As such all children are encouraged to be supportive of every other group member in order to create an effective team.

 

Permission is sought by all parents for Yellow Dog to take photo’s for publicity purposes; for the parents themselves to film shows for precious family memories; and for Press to take photos as part of reviewing our shows.
