RISK ASSESSMENTYellow Dog Theatre Company work in several different locations, and in venues that are mostly multi-purpose in use. As such we assess risk in two main areas. What the venue holders are responsible for, and what we must be responsible for . Venue holders will perform risk assessment on the following potential hazards - ELECTRICAL- Risks of shock, burns, and electric fires. The venue should ensure safety of electrical equipment. Ensure all appliances and equipment are stored safely. Ensure all cables, plugs and extension leads are properly used. SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS - Safety of the rehearsal/performance space. Must be tidy, clean and free of obstructions. Any and all equiment that Yellow Dog use in the course of our productions should be safe. Yellow Dog Theatre will perform additional risk assessment on issues. ELECTRICAL - Yellow Dog will ensure that any Yellow Dog equipment, cables, plugs, etc...are checked, and taped properly to ensure safety of all staff and students. SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS - Where appropriate we will inform the venue holders of potential risks, or take action to remove said risks ourselves. ACTIVITIES - We will also monitor our activities (e.g. games involving running, jumping, movement) to ensure maximum safety precautions are taken at all times by students and staff. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR - Yellow Dog will always maintain a correct ratio of staff to young people. Any bullying members will be removed from the group. Police will be called should the necessity ever arise.
